The Arts have brought so many people together for this unifying project. Internationally renowned singer/composer Judith Durham AO joins skilled horseman/bush poet Lance Lawrence in his autobiographical epic poem “All In A Day’s Work” adapted to music by Judith in this ten minute cinematic sonic ride combining rich orchestration with a galloping boogie-woogie feel.
Though now in 2020 - back in 1966 these two young Aussies were worlds away from each other: Judith in London England; Lance in SE Arnhem Land NT Australia where Lance lives now.
They were introduced by Dora Levakis whose portrait of Lance was displayed at a famous art exhibition in 2009: this is the hair-raising yarn Lance told Judith, how he risked being killed mustering scrub-cattle.
Adding further to his long string of accomplishments, in 1992 Lance became a published poet with his anthology “Lash Laroo Rode In”, and now as a spoken word recording artist in his duet with Judith.
